Getting hired at Starbucks or Coffee Bean, with no coffee making experience?

I really want to work at Starbucks or Coffee Bean. I had many friends work at both stores and they loved it!

I don't have an experience in coffee making, but I do have over 4 years experience in customer service. I hope my current job helps a little bit in getting hired.

currently work as a delivery driver for a restaurant/catering company. My duties for the restaurant are delivering local lunches, serving, taking orders, and prepping salads and making sauces, and duties for catering are setting up and delivering food to parties and TV and Movie craft services.

Is there anything else I need to do to make sure I get hired? I already filled out the online application for coffee bean, but haven't done the Starbucks online application yet.

Should I wait until they call me back? Or should I call them?

I would appreciate anything tips and info you have to offer.

I really like cars and have no experience fixing them - think someone will hire me as a mechanic?
