Help! Burnt pan??! how to clean?
Please I really need help! I have this electric pan and its a flat griddle pan and there are brown burnt I guess what is grease stains, and no matter what I do I can seem to get them out?? Any ideas, is there a website or something I can call for tips, or do you know anything? I already tried oven cleaner and baking soda and nothing worked,
what about bleach water? will that destroy the pan?
Hi there,
- You only need to use the right stuff and technique in order to clean your pan.
- Prepare ahead a steel scraper, a good (alkaline) oven cleaner and scotch pad.
- Remove the crude layer using the steel scraper. Use it gently to avoid scratching the pan surface.
- Open a window, wear rubber gloves, preheat the pan to about 50C/120F, and plug it off.
- Apply the alkaline oven cleaner over the pan surface, scrub it into the dirt using scotch pad and let the oven cleaner to break the fats for about 15 minutes.
- Then scrube again and wipe off the grime using kitchen paper.
- Wipe again the plat using dump cloth and leave it to dry.
