Yes, I'm finally updating the site. I have a whole new respect for people who blog because it just takes some dedicated time which I don't seem to have lately. (Can you hear those violins in the background?)

The Lopez House is doing great. Mimi's is really expressing herself and talking up a storm. She knows a majority of her colors now and she really likes helicopters and trains. I bought her first train set and she loves it. Also she has taken a liking to butterflies. I've noticed that almost everything that flies is amazing to her. Being outside is when she is the happiest. She really likes the outdoors and seeing new and interesting things.

I haven't taken pictures lately, but there is a recent batch of pictures in the gallery!

On that note.....Happy Belated Miranda Monday

As you can see, Mimi's getting to be a little person. She is talking now more than ever and tries to repeat everything we say. Once she realized that sunglasses are "cool", we couldn't get them off her. She was playing "diva" in the car the other day so we had to take pictures. In the picture below, she has the "ahh yes, can I help with with something dahling?" look!! Man, I'm scared of what's to come when she's in her teens!

This last weekend we had a great time with Heather coming out to visit. We went out to an actual bar on Friday and even stayed out late!! Whoo Hoo! Saturday we went to the beach and had lunch before relaxing at home with Mimi's. Sunday we went to Ricky and Roya's house and had a blast at their New Orleans theme get together. We had some awesome food and Ricky outdid himself with a great gumbo.

There are new pictures in the gallery so check em out!

All she needs in this picture is a Van Halen shirt!

It's been a while since I actually posted on a Monday. Things are quiet at the Lopez House lately. Miranda has been quite an angel. Casie had to go away on business and it was up to dad to hold down the fort. Luckily for me, she gave me no trouble at all. It was my first time being on my own with Miranda (with a little help from Momma Lopez) for a couple of days and it went great! She slept through the night and seemed to enjoy watching me pick up after her. Every time I would pick up something she threw on the floor, she would crack up and throw something else. Cool game if your 17 months old. Not so much for dad.

We have a back-up of pictures from throughout the month, so check out the new gallery HERE. Miranda is going to kill me when she gets older. You'll see why in some of the pictures.

On that note.......Happy Miranda Monday!!!

So, I've been sick with the flu for the last couple of weeks and I had forgotten how MISERABLE it can be. I am finally getting better almost 2 weeks later. I usually don't get that sick and have come to the conclusion that I'm getting flu shots every year.

Things have been quiet at the Lopez House. We had a SuperBowl/my birthday party on Sunday and had a great time. (if you haven't called me yet.........your in trouble) ha!! I was still recovering from the flu, so of course I passed out around half time and woke up just in time for the end of the game. What else is new?????

I don't have any new pictures yet, but should have more next week.

Well, was a great 2007 for us at the Lopez House. Aside from me working a hell of a lot in December, our Christmas was good. We went to Wyoming to see Casie's parents and to meet our nephew Rex for the first time.We had a great time and it even snowed on Christmas Eve, so it was a white Christmas for sure. Miranda didn't quite know what to make of the snow, but she got used to it. We don't have pics of her in the snow yet, but Grandma Jackie will be sending us those soon! It was nice to see everybody and Casie and I caught up on some rest while we were up there. Before we left for Wyoming, JP and Heather came out to Cali and we got to see them before we left. It was so good to see them and they got to see my grandparents and parents which seemed like old times again. I was bad that night and got a "little" tipsy so I didn't take any pictures. Check out the new gallery in the 2008 Collection.

I'll update more pictures as they come in.
And my New Years resolution? To post more!!! Well, we'll see.

Well, I'm way too busy at work so my posts these coming weeks are going to be short and not too frequent. This past weekend we had a great time with Mike, Janice, Ava and Drew coming over and the girls got to hang out while the guys went to see American Gangster. It was pretty good, but a little long. Then we came home and played Nintendo Wii. It's amazing what video games can do nowadays. We had a lot of fun bowling, playing tennis, and baseball. Miranda and Ava hung out and explored everything they could around the house! They also got to go for a walk on Mimi's wagon. You can check out the pictures in the 12/3/07 Photo Gallery.

Hope everybody has a great week

Last week went by so fast, yet we managed to do a lot of things. First we went to my parents house for Thanksgiving and had a good time with some awesome food.....Thank you momma! We dressed Miranda up so check out the 11-27-07 gallery. Then on Friday, Casie and I took Miranda and cousin Serena to the Long Beach Aquarium which was really fun. Miranda seemed to enjoy looking at all the bright fish and kept pointing to the ones she liked the most. After that, we all went to Bubba Gump Shrimp for lunch........which was actually pretty good!!! Pictures from that day are sketchy, as we took our little digital camera. But it decided to stop working so I'm in the process of trying to save them.

There's lots of other pictures in the new gallery, so check em out!!!!

Have a Happy Miranda Monday (Tuesday)!!!!!!

So, yes Mimi's is walking. She first did it for Auntie Janice on Saturday night and by Sunday, she was walking around the house! This is the best picture that I could get so far, but I will have better ones for sure.

The last couple of weeks, we've been doing a lot. We celebrated Casie's birthday with the 1st annual Iron Chef competition and WOW did we have some good food. Mr. Ricky (Taste Good) Pasquelone won the competition with an incredible tasting pizza. It was good to see everybody and there are plenty of pictures in the 11/19/07 gallery.

Stay tuned for a Thanksgiving post.........

I think I'm going to start a weekly "rant", so to speak, on different rules that we as a society should adhere to but are not written anywhere as actual rules. Example: When you are using an ATM machine, you would expect the person waiting in line behind you to stay at least 4-5 feet away to give you some privacy. Right?

Case and point. I'm at a 7-11 this morning trying to buy a bottle of water and a coffee. The line is pretty long but it's a convenient store. Lines should go pretty fast. There is a lady in front of me that decided to do her entire grocery shopping there. OK.....pretty lame considering it would be cheaper to buy groceries at an actual supermarket. But what gets me is that she waits till the checker finishes ringing everything up, bags it, THEN pulls out her checkbook and proceeds to take 5 more minutes FILLING IT OUT!!!! ------ I literally lost it with this poor woman and said " You couldn't fill out the check while the items were being ringed up"? Do you see the line behind you?? She then says to me " There is no law that says I need to do that"!!!!!

Well, after calling her a moron, I walked out LATE because of this woman and am just pissed off at the world right now because it seems that common sense has left our society completely.

I'm just sayin.............
